On Tuesday January 17th, 11 students from Deptford High School auditioned for the 2012 Olympic Conference Honors Band with about 150 other high school students in the conference. Out of those 11 students, 10 of them were selected into the Ensemble. Those students are: Reed Hunter Green, Pavan Chary, Cory Andrews, Jessica Bennett, Alyssa Price, Anthony Nigro, Jasmine Leary, Henry Grabbe, Brandon Guerra, and Tristen Jenkins.

 

With the placement of these 10 students in the ensemble, Deptford High School has the 2nd highest number of students accepted behind Washington Twp (14). Also worth noting, is that the following students placed 1st chair on their respective instruments: Reed Hunter Green - Piccolo, Cory Andrews - Eb Clarine, Anthony Nigro - Alto Saxophone, and Tristen Jenkins - Battery Percussion.
